Yashwant Sinha Forms New Political Party Inspired by Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Ideals

Former finance and foreign minister Yashwant Sinha has launched a new political party, 'Atal Vichar Manch,' inspired by the ideology of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Sinha, who has been critical of the current BJP leadership, stated that his party would contest elections, making it clear that the 'Atal Vichar Manch' is a full-fledged political organization, not a voluntary group. According to Sinha, the BJP has drifted away from Vajpayee's principles, prompting the need for a new party that upholds his legacy.

Sinha announced that the 'Atal Vichar Manch' will contest all 81 seats in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. He also emphasized that the party will only field honest and capable candidates while reiterating his decision not to run for any office himself. "I declared up front that I will not run for office again after my presidential campaign," he said.

Sinha also criticized Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing the BJP of trying to incite communal unrest in Jharkhand for electoral gain. He urged the state government to take legal action against Sarma for "creating a harmful environment" in the state.

With the launch of 'Atal Vichar Manch,' Yashwant Sinha aims to create a political platform rooted in Vajpayee’s ideology, positioning it as a contender in the upcoming Jharkhand elections, while sharply criticizing the current BJP leadership.
