The Indian team reached Delhi from Barbados today i.e. on 4 July after winning the title of T20 World Cup 2024. After landing at the airport in the morning, it stayed at Hotel ITC Maurya. After a while, the Indian team and the support personnel arrived at PM Modi's house to meet him. Where the BCCI presented PM Modi with a NaMo-1 jersey. Now the Indian team has flown to Mumbai.
“The Indian team did a great job at the 2024 T20 World Cup. India won the T20 World Cup for the first time in 17 years, defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the decisive game. After becoming the champion, the team got stuck there due to the cyclone in Barbados and then BCCI Secretary Jay Shah sent Team India to Delhi via a special charter flight. After becoming the champion, the Indian team, which reached Delhi, was welcomed with great fanfare at the airport this morning. The athletes of Team India and the trophy drew great anticipation from the crowd.”
