Minister Ashok Choudhary Clarifies After Poem Controversy

Bihar’s Rural Development Minister and senior JD(U) leader Ashok Choudhary has again found himself at the center of controversy. Just as the debate surrounding his comments about the Bhumihar community subsided, Choudhary posted a poem on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), sparking further discussion. The poem, titled "Badhati Umar Mein Inhe Chhod Dijiye" (Leave Them Behind as You Age), is being seen as a veiled dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to sources, CM Nitish summoned Choudhary after the poem went viral, leading to a 90-minute-long conversation at the CM's residence.

In a follow-up tweet, Choudhary posted a photo with Nitish Kumar, captioning it, "Kuch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna" (People will always talk, it’s their job to do so), urging the public to ignore rumors.

Choudhary's poem, though indirect, has reignited conversations about his relationship with CM Nitish Kumar. His social media post and subsequent clarification have drawn attention to potential underlying political tensions within the JD(U) leadership.
