Central Minister Lalan Singh has launched a scathing attack on the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav ahead of the latter’s statewide "Karyakarta Aabhar Yatra." Singh ridiculed Yadav’s previous election efforts, particularly his tours in helicopters, and predicted the upcoming outreach would fail to gain traction.
Referring to Yadav’s campaign during the Lok Sabha elections, Singh claimed that despite extensive travel and efforts, Yadav’s results were lackluster, and this upcoming campaign would likely follow the same path. Singh remarked that Yadav’s campaign was nothing more than a “daydream,” implying it would not yield any political dividends. Yadav has initiated the outreach program to thank his party workers and to prepare for the upcoming state assembly elections, starting with a tour of four districts: Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Muzaffarpur.
While Tejashwi Yadav’s campaign may be aimed at strengthening ties with his party’s grassroots workers, Lalan Singh’s biting criticism underscores the fierce political rivalry in Bihar. As the assembly elections draw closer, Yadav’s ability to mobilize support will be put to the test.
