Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari has come out in support of the state government's decision to suspend mobile internet services for five hours during the General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE). Ansari stated that the decision was taken to prevent malpractices and ensure a fair examination process, pushing back against opposition criticism.
Ansari dismissed the BJP's objections, emphasizing that the move was necessary to safeguard the future of the state’s youth. He pointed out that the previous BJP governments had failed to provide jobs, whereas the current administration is ensuring transparent recruitment processes. The internet ban, according to Ansari, is a small sacrifice to ensure a bright future for the state's students.
Ansari also claimed that BJP workers were attempting to disrupt the exam and cause chaos, making the government’s decision even more critical. The exams, conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, saw participation from over 6.39 lakh candidates across 823 centers.
The suspension of internet services during Jharkhand’s competitive exams has sparked debate, but Minister Irfan Ansari's defense highlights the government’s commitment to conducting a fair and secure examination process. Despite opposition protests, the move is seen as a step toward protecting the state's youth.
