Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has intensified his criticism of the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government, accusing it of failing to address youth employment and rampant corruption. Speaking at a press conference in Ranchi, Sarma lambasted the government for not providing jobs to the youth during its five-year tenure and only making efforts now, ahead of elections.
Sarma claimed that the Soren government is making a show of organizing large recruitment rallies, forcing young people to run 10 kilometers for job opportunities that should have been available years ago. He further alleged that Jharkhand is plagued by corruption, with government officials hoarding cash while the state’s development stalls. Sarma accused the ruling coalition of mismanaging central funds, particularly those allocated under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Sarma’s sharp critique of the Jharkhand government has set the stage for a heated political battle ahead of the assembly elections. His remarks, targeting both employment and governance issues, aim to galvanize opposition support against the Soren administration.
