In a tragic turn of events, the father of former minister and VIP party leader Mukesh Sahni was brutally murdered. Responding swiftly, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken cognizance of the incident and assured prompt action against the culprits.
Mukesh Sahni, upon learning of his father's murder, immediately returned to Bihar from Mumbai. At Patna airport, he addressed the media, stating, "CM Nitish Kumar himself has taken cognizance of the incident. He assured me over the phone that the guilty will be arrested soon." Sahni added that prominent leaders, including Lalu Yadav, had reached out to express their support and solidarity.
Earlier, Santosh Sahni, Mukesh's younger brother, arrived at their ancestral home in Supaul Bazar, Darbhanga district, where their father was murdered. Recounting his last conversation with his father, Santosh said, "He asked when I would come home. I said after the elections."
Rahul Gandhi also expressed his condolences, condemning the crime and urging the Bihar government to ensure justice is served swiftly.
