Chirag Paswan to Contest 2025 Bihar Elections Under Nitish Kumar's Leadership

Chirag Paswan, who once openly criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, labeling him an "uncultured leader" during the 2020 assembly elections, has now decided to contest the 2025 Bihar assembly elections under Kumar’s leadership. The move has raised eyebrows, as Paswan had previously fought against the NDA in 2020, costing Nitish Kumar’s party several seats.

The decision was finalized during a state parliamentary board meeting of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), where it was agreed that the party would contest the elections under the NDA banner. Party leaders reiterated that Paswan is committed to fulfilling the dreams of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, and is focused on achieving electoral success.

Chirag Paswan’s decision to contest the upcoming Bihar elections alongside Nitish Kumar marks a strategic shift, aimed at ensuring unity within the NDA and countering the opposition's growing influence in the state.
