Minister Ashok Chaudhary said that RJD is blaming the double engine government for the collapse of bridges. The reality is that this department was with Tejashwi Yadav. If Tejashwi had paid attention during his tenure, the bridge would not have collapsed today.
News of the collapse of under-construction bridges is continuously coming from Bihar. Now a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for the investigation of the bridges. In which it has been said that the court should direct the state government to get all the bridges under construction investigated. At the same time, politics has also intensified on this. RJD is blaming the double engine government for this. JDU is putting the responsibility on RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
“Ashok Chaudhary, a minister in the Nitish government, told us about the maintenance of the bridge that our government is working towards bringing a maintenance policy for bridges. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked different departments to bring a maintenance policy for bridges. Under this, old and under-construction bridges will be inspected. Additionally, there are plans to revive the Chief Minister Setu Yojana, which was shut down in 2016. Explaining the reason for the collapse of the bridges, he said that the route of the river changed at many places, due to which such incidents happened. Such incidents happened due to the collapse of centering at many places.”
Ashok Chaudhary said, action will be taken against the contractors who were working under this project for misuse of government funds due to negligence. There is no provision for FIR against them, but if such an incident happens then the government will definitely take action. During this, Ashok Chaudhary attacked former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. He said that this department was with RJD one and a half years ago and Tejashwi Yadav was its minister. After this department came to JDU, there was an election. Then they got 20 days, so you tell who is responsible for this? Is the responsibility of the party that had 20 days or the one who had the department for one and a half years. Let us tell you, in the last about 20 days, a total of 9 bridges have collapsed in Bihar. On Wednesday, two bridges collapsed in Siwan district and one in Saran. A few days before this, the beam of the bridge under construction in Jhanjharpur of Madhubani district collapsed. It was being built at a cost of about three crores. The bridge being built at a cost of 12 crores over the Bakra river also collapsed. A few days after this, the case of the collapse of the bridge being built on the Gandaki river in Siwan came to light. Then the bridge under construction in East Champaran also collapsed.
