The BJP has sharply responded to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren after his controversial comments comparing the RSS to rats. Soren had accused both the BJP and RSS of harming communal harmony in the state for electoral gains. BJP leaders, however, retaliated, with party spokesperson Amar Kumar Bauri asserting, "RSS is not a rat but a 'Hindu Lion', restoring the pride of Sanatan Dharma."
Bauri accused Soren of pandering to political interests by protecting illegal Bangladeshi immigrants for votes. He also ridiculed Soren’s remarks on demographic changes, particularly in Bhognadih, a historical site of the Santhal rebellion, questioning the disappearance of local Santhal families.
The BJP has repeatedly accused Soren of aligning with foreign interests, drawing parallels with George Soros and claiming that the CM’s policies are designed to disrupt India’s democratic structure.
With the Jharkhand elections approaching, the political temperature in the state is rising. As BJP and CM Soren exchange sharp remarks, the fight over communal and demographic issues is likely to play a significant role in the upcoming polls.
