The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission’s (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam, held on September 21-22, has once again come under scrutiny. Several candidates have claimed that questions in the reasoning and mathematics sections were identical to those from previously canceled exams. 16 out of 20 questions in the reasoning section were reportedly repeated from the 2019 exam, and similar discrepancies were found in the mathematics section.
Amid growing protests in cities like Ranchi and Hazaribagh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded a CBI investigation into the matter. Jharkhand BJP president Babulal Marandi accused the Hemant Soren government of intentionally leaking the exam papers to favor select candidates. He expressed concerns over the future of students in the state and emphasized the need for urgent action.
With rising allegations of corruption and exam malpractices, the SSC-CGL exam controversy has triggered widespread demands for an impartial probe. The pressure on the Jharkhand government to act decisively continues to mount.
