According to Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, Pritam Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav's personal secretary, called a National Highways Authority of India guest house employee to make hotel arrangements for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, one of the case's suspects.
Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has spoken out on the controversy surrounding the alleged NEET paper leak case in response to remarks made by Vijay Sinha, the deputy chief minister of Bihar. Sinha had hinted to a relationship between one of the accused engineers in the incident and Yadav's personal assistant. Yadav responded by accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to deflect criticism away from the primary offender by drawing Yadav's name into the controversy needlessly.
Yadav told the media that the I.N.D.I.A alliance is in agreement on this matter. "We demand the prompt cancellation of the NEET exam. The BJP has access to all investigative agencies and can request an inquiry from any PS or PA. Their goal is to deflect attention away from the kingpin. There is no one who will gain from those who wish to discredit my name or the name of my PA. Although the mentioned engineer might benefit, Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar are the ones behind the paper leak. The nation's citizens are aware that paper leaks occur whenever the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gains power," he continued.
Paper was exposed in states governed by the BJP: Tejashwi
"Tejashwi went on to say that paper leaks have occurred in the BJP-ruled states of Gujarat, Haryana, and Bihar. "Vijay Sinha is the only one claiming these things. There has never been any inquiry by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOU). Since the arrests in May, we have been calling for an investigation to be conducted. The engineer they are discussing, Sikandar Yadvendu, was hired by them in 2021 from the water resources department for the urban development division. Why do they wish to keep Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand alive? Soon, the truth will come to light. The accused received bail and avoided going to jail when paper leaks occurred during the third stage of the BPSC-conducted teachers' recruitment test (TRE), according to Yadav."
What said Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister?
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sinha asserted that Pritam Kumar, Tejaswi's personal secretary, had made a call to an employee of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) guest house in order to reserve a room for one of the suspects in the case, Sikander Kumar Yadavendu. According to him, the previous Deputy CM was referred to as "Mantri". "On May 1, Pritam Kumar, the personal secretary of Tejashwi Yadav, called Pradip Kumar, a worker at a guesthouse, to make reservations for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, who was being held in jail in Ranchi. To make reservations for a room at the NHAI guest house, Pritam Kumar gave Pradip Kumar another call on May 4. 'Mantri' was the term used for Tejashwi Yadav, "Sinha stated at a press conference on Thursday. In addition, the Deputy Chief Minister asked Tejashwi Yadav to clarify if Pritam Kumar remains his personal secretary and who Sikander Yadavendu is.
It is important to note that the Patna police have detained a number of persons, including several NEET exam hopefuls. Four of them have been identified as his uncle Sikandar Yadavendu, NEET candidate Anurag Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Anand.
