Three people from Kota, Rajasthan, are detained after the Tiger Shroff shooting.
In relation to the shooting at Bollywood star Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai, three guys have been detained in Kota, Rajasthan. The accused are Hrithik Kumar from Bihar and Phool Singh and Rehan from Haryana. The three males from the Railroad Colony area were taken into custody by a joint team of the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Rajasthan and Kota City Police, acting on information from Mumbai Police. At approximately 10.15 am, the suspects landed in Kota on the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express.
In relation to the incident, two other people have also been taken into custody, one of them is from today's Maharashtra-Gujarat border.
The three accused were the subject of an attempted murder complaint filed by the Mumbai Police earlier in the day. Juhu Police originally filed the FIR, however it has since been moved to the Mumbai Crime Branch.
The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita's Sections 109(1) (attempt to kill) and 3(5) (acts done by multiple persons in furtherance of a single aim) as well as pertinent parts of the Arms Act have been used to register the case.
The accused fired several rounds at the 36-year-old actor's BMW vehicle on Sunday nite as he was leaving the city's Juhu neighborhood following a football game. Shroff was unharmed, but Firdaus, his driver, and Chauhan, the autorickshaw driver, were hurt.
After the shoot, the actor, who had been sitting on the side of the car, moved to the driver's seat.
In addition to claiming responsibility for the shooting, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has made new threats against anyone who collaborate with Bollywood star Salman Khan.
Allegations that Salman Khan murdered two blackbucks in Rajasthan in the late 1990s are the source of the Bishnoi gang's animosity. The Bishnoi community regards the blackbuck as sacred.
Before the Rajasthan High Court cleared Salman Khan, a court had found him guilty under the Wildlife Protection Act.
An photograph of two of the alleged shooters appeared just hours before they were taken into custody.
Both males are wearing white shirts in the shot, which was allegedly taken close to the scene of the event. One of them is sporting a black cap with the Puma logo on it. Their identities were unknown at the time.
A motorcycle used in the assault that the accused left at the Andheri train station before escaping has also been confiscated by the police.
Investigators are looking into the vehicle's registration records, number plate, chassis, and engine numbers to determine its history. Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle is registered in Mumbai.
CCTV footage of the shooting shows one of the men firing several times while the other seems to try to fire, however it's unclear if his weapon actually fired.
Seen waiting on a motorcycle, the third accused appears prepared to assist his companions in escaping the scene.
Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told reporters that the assailants were "cowardly individuals" and that "they attempt to strike from the shadows, but their efforts will be thwarted."
Shortly after the attack, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid Shroff a visit at his home and disclosed that the actor had gunpowder burns on his right hand.
