At the Jantar Mantar protest location on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the audience applauded and chanted slogans upon the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), joined the audience from the dais, waved the tricolor, and sang A.R. Rahman's Vande Mataram.
"Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned and this is the proof that if you don't get scared, you can win," Mr. Dipke stated to the demonstrators. "In a democracy, you shouldn't be afraid to speak. They are in power because of us, thus the only way they will stay in line is if you speak up.

Despite the resignation announcement, Mr. Dipke has declared that the protest will go on.
He wrote "thank you" alongside a photo of himself clutching the Indian Constitution on X.
"We have two more requests. That is not how we will proceed. Cockroaches are what we are. It doesn't leave once it gets inside. As of right present, only one resignation has occurred. "Avoid interfering with the cockroach," he said.
In addition to Mr. Pradhan's resignation, the CJP has called for criminal action against those involved for the suspected NEET paper leak and ₹1 crore in compensation for the families of students who committed suicide as a result of the scandal. Additionally, the CJP requested that the RAF and Delhi Police publicly apologize for attacking the students during this week's Parliament march and maintained that no action should be taken against the protsters.
The movement's "first victory," according to Mr. Dipke, was Mr. Pradhan's resignation, but he reaffirmed that the other demands—compensation for the dead families and punishment against those responsible for the suspected paper leak—had not yet been met.
Compensation should be offered to the families of students who took their own lives. Police officers who have committed atrocities should be held accountable, he declared.
Before the resignation announcement, there were reports of minor altercations between demonstrators and security guards outside the Jantar Mantar protest site in the direction of Sansad Marg at around 2:00 p.m.
The Hindu was informed by eyewitnesses that the police used tear gas shells to scatter the demonstrators.
On June 20, the CJP began demonstrating in Jantar Mantar.
