On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann questioned how many MLAs the Congress party has in Delhi, a swipe at charges of division within the Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab chapter made by Pratap Singh Bajwa, the Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly.
He also attacked Bajwa for criticizing Punjab's law and order, claiming that it was better than most other states.
"I would urge Pratap Singh Bajwa to tally the number of Delhi's MLAs. Punjab has greater law and order than the majority of states. Being a border state, we have to work extra hard, and we are doing that," Mann told reporters.
He stated that Kejriwal complimented the AAP's MLAs for their efforts during the polls during his meeting with the party's convenor.
He went on to say that the party would use its work in Delhi to transform Punjab into a "role model" that the entire country could follow.
"MLAs were congratulated by Arvind Kejriwal for their efforts during the Delhi elections. Delhi's experience in Punjab will be applied here. We'll collaborate. Our group is well-known for its efforts. It was resolved at today's meeting that we will make Punjab a role model for the entire country in the next two years. He added, "The Punjab government is working for the welfare of the people. Punjab has always been at the forefront of all the fights."
Following their humiliating loss in the Delhi assembly elections, the AAP convenor met with Punjab MLAs to talk about the party's future plans.
With 48 out of 70 assembly seats, the BJP easily won the Delhi assembly election.
AAP suffered a severe defeat, winning just 22 seats, a far cry from the 62 seats it had previously won in the 2020 elections. After 27 years, the BJP is making a comeback to power in the nation's capital with this historic mandate.
