During the month-long "Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan," the Delhi government will launch projects and set the groundwork for initiatives totaling Rs 13,800 crore, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Monday. Starting on September 17 and ending on October 17, the campaign will commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service.
Among the major announcements are the introduction of an official organ donation portal, a massive blood donation camp on September 17 with a goal of gathering 2,500 units of blood, and Delhi Jal Board projects totaling Rs 8,000 crore intended to clean and revitalize the Yamuna.
Gupta stated that the campaign will also feature health camps, plantation drives, school competitions, and outreach initiatives connected to government programs during a news conference with Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra.For us, the Yamuna is a question of faith. "Cleaning the Yamuna is not a one-day project," Gupta stated as he announced the campaign's planned initiatives.
According to her, the DJB's Rs 8,000 crore projects would concentrate on revitalizing Yamuna by enhancing the city's infrastructure and water services.
According to Gupta, the campaign will involve initiatives from multiple departments, either through foundation stone ceremonies or inaugurations.
These include projects valued at over Rs 1,500 crore by the Power Department, Rs 2,800 crore by the Public Works Department, and Rs 265 crore by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. According to her, a total of Rs 13,800 crore worth of projects will be launched during the course of the month-long campaign.
The Chief Minister expressed pride and inspiration in PM Modi's 25 years of uninterrupted public service. She added that Delhi's successful hosting of the BRICS Summit was a result of infrastructure projects worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore that were completed in the city over the course of his 12-year term.
According to Gupta, an official organ donation platform modeled after the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization will be introduced during the campaign, and health check-up camps for workers and the elderly will be arranged around the city.
The State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization will encourage organ donation, she stated.
More than 5,000 schools and academic institutions are anticipated to participate in the campaign's tree planting and "Mere Sapnon Ka Bharat" competitions by expressing their vision of a developed India through paintings, reels, speeches, and other media.
Additional events will include the celebration of Anganwari and ASHA employees, registration camps for Central and Delhi government programs, and the "Ashirvad Ka Diya" initiative, in which recipients of government programs light a lamp in their homes to ask the Prime Minister for blessings.
Malhotra stated that the Delhi BJP will host events throughout the city as part of the campaign, adding that while exports and rural road connectivity have improved, the Modi government had completed programs that had been stalled for years.
