According to Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah would be ashamed of the "concern" displayed by the BJP and its supporters during the debate of the Waqf Amendment Bill on Thursday.
Hours after the Lok Sabha passed the bill, he stated at a press conference here that his party rejected the BJP's phony stance on the bill and its scheme to seize land and distribute it to its business allies.
A erstwhile BJP ally, Thackeray, claimed that although the BJP has won a third term at the center and that things are moving well, it is causing Hindu-Muslim tensions. If the saffron party didn't like Muslims, he challenged them to take the green color from their party banner.
Thackeray added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ought to have informed the populace of the threat posed by US tariffs and the measures being taken to lessen it.
