NIA raids in Ranchi and Latehar against the terror funding network of Naxalites

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted multiple raids on Wednesday targeting the terror funding network of Maoist Naxalites in Ranchi and Latehar, resulting in the arrest of two individuals.

The NIA's raids spanned half a dozen hideouts associated with the Naxalite terror funding network. The residences of Jitendra Nath Pandey and Rohit Yadav in the McCluskieganj police station area of Ranchi were searched, yielding numerous documents. Additionally, the NIA targeted Yadav's brick kiln in Chandwa, Latehar.

This operation follows a similar crackdown a few years ago when Rohit Yadav was previously jailed for terror funding activities. The NIA's ongoing efforts aim to dismantle the financial networks of Naxalite leaders like Ravindra Ganjhu and Nakul Yadav, who have significant bounties on their heads.

To ensure thorough searches, the NIA included female police personnel in the raiding teams. Family members at the targeted locations were also questioned. These raids are part of a broader strategy to disrupt the funding mechanisms that support Naxalite operations.

Earlier, on June 19, the NIA raided three hideouts of Jharkhand gangster Aman Sahu in Ranchi and Hazaribagh, seizing valuable assets including an SUV, CCTV DVR, and bank transaction documents.

In conclusion, the NIA's raids in Ranchi and Latehar mark a critical effort in curbing the financial channels of Naxalite activities, reinforcing the government's commitment to combating domestic terrorism.
