In a shocking revelation, a mini factory producing illegal weapons was discovered operating under the guise of a brick factory in Ruprahimpur, under Madhaura police station in Saran, Bihar. Acting on a tip-off from Kolkata Police, a raid was conducted, leading to the arrest of four individuals, including the factory operator and the kingpin of the operation.
Saran Superintendent of Police, Dr. Kumar Ashish, informed the media about the raid and subsequent arrests. The Kolkata Special Task Force (STF) had been tracking the gang based on information about an incident in West Bengal. Upon receiving intelligence, Kolkata Police coordinated with local authorities to execute the raid at the fly ash brick factory.
During the raid, police recovered a substantial cache of illegal weapons, including 75 semi-manufactured guns, weapon-making machines, and various tools. The arrested individuals were identified as Akhilesh Kumar Kushwaha, the factory operator from Vikrampur, and his associate Mohd. Chand, Mohd. Sahil Alam, Mohd. Parvez, and Mohd. Irfan.
Dr. Kumar Ashish noted that the illegal weapons were being produced on a large scale and the artisans involved were employed from Manger. The investigation is ongoing to determine the duration of the illegal operation and its broader implications.
